Youth Fundraiser!!!!

Hey Ladies!!! It's that time of year again for the YOUTH FUNDRAISER! Please come and support our youth and help them earn money for girls camp and scout camp. It is a super fun event, so we hope you all can come. Here are the details!

When: Friday March 16th
Time: 6:00 pm (Please have your items there by 5:45)
Where: The Church
What: Fundraiser with Dinner, Silent Auction, Cake Auction, and of course a super awesome good time!

Please bring whatever you signed up for whether it be a cake, pizza, service, household items, or all of those things!

There is a PIZZA CONTEST! So bring your Pizza that will WOW the ward, and walk away with the pride we will all envy for years to come. :)

Even if you didn't sign up bring any items or services that can be put in the silent auction or just bought at a set price. If you have a goodwill bag feel free to bring that!

St. Patrick's Day Party!

I am still planning on doing the St. Patrick's Day party but I am suddenly unsure of what to plan! Here's what I have in mind- is it enough?

Snack (something green, probably cupcakes because I'm inspired from Aubrey's greatness)

I was thinking something with balloons but that might be a nightmare if they start popping. Could someone let me know if this all would be enough? I'm trying to think age appropriate too. Any thoughts are appreciated- 517 391 2506. Thanks!

Reading Help!

I am my elementary school's coordinator for a writing contest and I need 8 - 10 friends to come and help read entries.  They are from grades K-4 and are cute, fun and easy to judge.  I can provide comfy couches to sit on and yummy snacks to munch on while reading.  Let me know if you can help me

Moving to Grand Rapids....

So we'll be moving to Grand Rapids in the end of April or early May. I was wondering if anyone had any church (or otherwise) connections out that way- I've contacted the bishop of the Wyoming ward but haven't heard back yet. Thanks for any help you can provide- apartment searching is a drag! :)

Aubrey's Farewell Pinterest Party!!

Hello Everybody! This coming Wednesday, March 14th, we are throwing a farewell party for our Aubrey Boardman! The theme is a Pinterest Party!
(Since neither Aubrey nor Eleanor seem to want a Rapunzel party. Their loss.)

It's at 7 PM at my house (Marianne Firth 1614 Greencrest Ave. East Lansing, MI 48823). Please come spend the evening eating, chatting and hopefully playing a few games- it is a party for Aubrey after all, we have to have games! Please bring either an appetizer or dessert, this is your chance to try out that Pinterest-whatever-it-is that you pinned ages ago with no idea of when you would actually make it. However, more than anything we just want everyone to come spend some time with Aubrey before she has to set West. Please come if even if it can only be for just a few minutes. But I also promised Aubrey a casual-good time, so no drama and tears, well, you can cry a little.

I put a thing on Facebook too, but I am sure I missed a few or am not friends with the whole ward (their loss) so please spread the word- everyone is invited! Hope to see you all there!

We're Really Going....For Real!

Hey everyone! I think most of you know that we're planning on leaving really soon...soon being next Friday!! I've been going through all of our stuff and packing (obviously) and have lots of things that we're not going to take with us that I'd either like to give away or sell. I don't really want to do a whole rundown on here, but I have some toys, household items and cleaners, a couple games, and just a random assortment of other things! If you want to come by and take a look and just use it as an excuse to chat during our last 11 days here, let me know!

Anyone want a kitty?

We've been caring for a kitty that Chelsea Pickup found on her porch.  It's really sweet, but we just can't afford to keep it (our apartment requires a huge pet deposit, and charges alot in additional rent to have a pet).  I'd love to find a good home for this kitty.  I'd also give you a great deal on all the supplies we bought for it.  If you know anyone who would be interested, please contact me.

-It's a long-haired white and orange cat with huge, dark eyes
-It's litter box trained
-It's about 8 months old (so not fully grown yet, but not a small kitten)
-It's very calm and well mannered

MI Primary

Hi Ladies-

I just wanted to remind everyone that the MI Primary election is Tuesday (2/28). I am not trying to push any political agenda! It is an open primary, which means anyone, regardless of your party affiliation, can vote. The most publicized vote on the ballot is for the Republican Presidential Nominee (Romney, Santorum, Gingrich, Paul).
